You review and approve before filing

TaxFile never files a return silently. It prepares your return and explains the figures, and you are responsible for reviewing every figure and approving the return before it is submitted. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. When you approve, e-filing is submitted through an authorized IRS e-file provider.

Estimates are estimates

Any refund amount, balance due, deduction, credit or tax figure shown before your return is complete, including in the interactive preview on this site, is an estimate for illustration. It is not your final return and is not a promise of any particular outcome. Your actual result depends on your complete and accurate information and current tax law.

No guaranteed refund

TaxFile does not guarantee any particular refund, a larger refund, or any specific tax outcome. TaxFile helps you find and claim the deductions and credits you qualify for based on the information you provide. What you ultimately owe or are refunded is determined by your circumstances and the applicable tax rules.

Not affiliated with the IRS

TaxFile is a private company and is not the Internal Revenue Service, and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the IRS or any government agency. E-file submissions are made through an authorized IRS e-file provider. References to the IRS, tax forms and tax rules are for general information only.

TaxFile gives you software to prepare your own return. The judgment, the review and the final approval are always yours.
